What It's Like to Be a Mindful Woman

Kim has heard elders in her family joke, “If at first you don’t succeed, try doing it the way your wife told you!” We laugh, but what are we really saying here? Are all med a bit incompetent? Are they overgrown children that still need a woman to channel them into being a functional adult? Are women not satisfied until we have someone to nag and are we okay with being weary as long as the job gets done? This really isn’t a scenario where either gender wins.

Let’s talk about the female mental load. Bake Sale, Coffee with Emily, Tea with Cheryl, Work, Vacations, Emails, Water Bill, Doctor, Dentist, Laundry, Meal Prep and this list goes on. Too much on our mind? So many of us handle more than our fair share of thinking, planning, and arranging, as well as the actual workload. How do we get things to change?
